Kites Fly Highest Against the Wind

Perhaps all this opposition or struggling I find in my life really is just to push me higher. If it works for kites then its bound to work for me, right? All I can do is aim for the middle of the blast of wind and try and rise as high as possible. It cant be harder than trying to avoid it.

  1. (in the army), as they stack more and more tasks on us, they tell us that it's like stepping stones. each one will help us become better, more proficient. which is of course true, but at the same time, they often seem like an oncoming wave or the incoming tide; sometimes you just struggle to stay afloat.
however... we're still alive, we're still functional, and we're (hopefully) always getting better.
on the kite analogy, church leaders will be quick to point out that without that string that's connecting you to something, you won't fly at all. be that as it may, good luck :)
